Our pieces are designed and built for the woman that finds meaning in every detail, relationship, and moment of her life, and naturally her jewels too. Each jewel tells a story connecting our deep-rooted heritage with her contemporary present. The stories told become part of her legacy and ours for generations to come.

MKS Jewellery was founded in 2013 by a natural storyteller and social activist, winning young designer of the year in 2015. H.H. Sheikha Mariam bint Khalifa bin Saif Al Nahyan, who has made it her mission to create everyday expressions of sentiment and style.

The fine line connecting the heritage with the present and the future

H.H. Sheikha Mariam bint Khalifa bin Saif Al Nahyan is the inspirational founder and creative director of MKS Jewellery. As the grand-daughter of UAE President, she is guided by her great grandfathers Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan and Ahmed Khalaf Al Otaiba. H.H. Sheikha Mariam stands as an ambassador for the Emirati woman, as well as a globally minded locally rooted women of navigating through past and present today. Be it in the modernized and innovative manner her values and heritage are expressed, or the incorporation of raw materials exclusively found in her surroundings.

MKS launched its first debut jewellery collection in January 2013. In 2015, H.H. Sheikha Mariam received the ’Young Designer of the Year’ Arab Woman Award. Recently founding ‘MKS Cares’ a place for the brand to celebrate the causes it stands by and finds inspiration from. From Social Initiatives to support of organizations or collaborations with artists, poets and more.

H.H. Sheikha Mariam is an avid activist and continues to support various causes, foundations and charities, notably the ADMC Group marine charity conservation project, the ‘Artist for Change’ initiative with the FBMI in 2016 and Architectural Digest ‘One of A Kind’ royal charity auction to benefit UNICEF MENA. Working with Emirates Red Crescent and Untitled Chapters on an initiative with Syrian Refugees women and children, from Murajeeb Al Fuhood Camp. Working with organizations on Domestic Violence and mental health. Through her patronage she also supports local charities and events in the UAE.
